Dayna and I spent New Years on Quadra Island with Gayle, Speedo, his sister Dana, her boyfrind Adam, and their friends Tamara, Brooke, and Joe. After struggling for about an hour with the wind and rain to get a fire going, we finally got a huge bonfire going (without using gas), and the gods co-operated by providing us with a cloudless, dry New Years filled with champagne drinking contests, misuse of semi legal fireworks, drinking games, and all around good times. It was great to see Speedo, Gayle, and the rest of the group again.

I was "forced" to spend Dec 28 - Jan 5 in Toronto for work. My free time was really limited because of how much work I had to do while I was there, so there aren't many pictures. For New Years I went to Nathan Phillips Square and watched a bunch of bands, and met a couple cool guys who liked sharing their booze. We rode in a jinriksha to a pub and got completely smashed. I relearned that drinking after not sleeping or eating for half a week is bad danger. Especially when your body thinks its 2am (PST), and its actually 5am (EST).

The Ladysmith Women's soccer team threw a fundraiser dance Dec 20 and the Mottishaw family was out in full force (some more than others).

Max Zorin and Plenty O'Toole spent new years together drinking champagne and partying their faces off at a James Bond theme party.

Xmas 2001, starting at my parents house in Ladysmith and then moving to my grandma Mottishaw's and then finally coming to my Grandma and Granpa Zwodeski's for xmas dinner and a few games of craps.

brad and noel (and ash but he wasn't there) were good enough to have a party on new years eve... it started out as a bit of a sleeper, but by the time midnight came (accompanied by baby duck) the party was hopping and the walls were a'rockin.

tom&mottie strike again.. for the 24th consecutive year, we found a random beach, donned our swimming outfits and went for our anual dip. the water was rather warm (considering it is the middle of winter) thanks dayna for taking the pics!

For new years we went out for a nice dinner, rode in style (limo) to cmac/gimpy's house.. and then partied our faces off..
